Optimizing potato seed certification management using ICT

Abstract

Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) offer numerous benefits. They provide significant improvements in the management of organizations. However, many Venezuelan state institutions maintain manual management models. This limits the timely generation of information and significantly impacts decision-making. Such is the case of the National Seed Commission (CONASEM), the body responsible for the Formal Certification System. Currently, it uses office automation tools that restrict access to information, which affects agricultural decision-making.
