In vitro behavior of pineapple variety grafted in three culture media
Abstract
Pineapple, Ananas comosus (L.) Merr., Is the most important species of the Bromeliaceae family, interest in this crop has increased, due to its demand in the market as fresh fruit, raw material for agribusiness and product of export. However, pineapple producers have difficulty meeting the needs of plants (children) to establish new lots with the crop. The reproductive mechanism of the species is vegetative. Among the pineapple varieties, the grafted variety stands out for its flavor, aroma, and softness of the pulp, and in the last decades the sowing area has increased in the state of Trujillo.
