Reference Laboratory for Biocontrol of Agricultural Pests of INIA Mérida
Abstract
The Reference Laboratory for Biocontrol of Agricultural Pests of the National Institute of Agricultural Research of the State of Mérida is located in the Mucuchíes Experimental Field, La Toma sector, Rangel municipality; It was created through the financing of a project of the Cuba-Venezuela agreement, in 2008. In its beginnings, its fundamental objective was basic and applied research in the processes of technologies for the production and use of biological products destined for agroecological management. of pests, as a fundamental basis for activating INIA's priority areas for the production of bio-inputs in the country (Turmero plant), the network of INSAI bio-inputs laboratories and others.
