Community experiences in planting forest trees
Abstract
Forest trees are perennial plants that live for more than two years. They are characterized by having tall, woody trunks (referring to the different heights they reach, depending on the species and the site), with branches at a greater or lesser height from the ground. Due to these attributes, they are a source of raw material for different types of forestry industries, such as: sawmills, board factories, veneers, matches, cellulose, essential oils, resins and tannins. Due to their attractive beauty and color, they are components of the natural landscape and provide an ecosystem protected from the elements, both in their foliage and below it.
