Abstract

A productive patio can be defined as a space in the home in which species of interest to the family are produced, both plant and animal, with the aim of contributing to the supply of vegetables, eggs, among other products of good quality and affordable prices to be consumed, exchanged in the form of barter or selling their surplus. It is a small-scale production system in which the use of monetary capital is minimal and the use of external inputs is low, becoming an option for the family economy.
