Abstract

In the first part, the topic of cultural conditioning was addressed in order to interpret the way of being, thinking and doing of the cocoa-growing family in the Barlovento region, considering broadly the historical background that, even today, mediates the relationships established between man, society and nature. Because when it comes to accompanying development processes, a global vision of the context in which they develop is essential, becoming primary concerns for those of us who participate in the rural development of the region.
